im 250% fed up with explaining racism to white people

it’s like they all received a copy of “How To Respond To Challenges Towards White Supremacy” because they literally use the same generic responses every time, and even after being…

My supremacy? Are you fucking kidding me? And who the fuck are you to tell me if I’ve experienced racism or not? You obviously know nothing about me or who I am, but let me just tell you something, just because I’m white doesn’t mean I can’t experience racism. I’ve grown up around a lot of black neighborhoods in Chicago, and they can be just as racist, and being picked on and bullied for being white isn’t a great fucking feeling. So don’t you fucking tell me that I don’t understand racism. Do black people have it worse than most white people? Hell yeah they do, and I wish that weren’t true. It’s wrong, obviously. Very wrong. Can I fix it? No, I can’t fix it obviously, but what I can do, is treat everyone with the equal respect that they deserve, WHICH I DO. I’ve seen so many goddamn post related with this stupid shit, if you’re so fed up trying to explain racism to white people, either the people you’re explaining it to are dumbfucks, or you’re not doing a good job of explaining. I understand racism, and It shouldn’t be that hard of a fucking concept, and telling me that just because I’m white I can’t understand it is retarded. Everyone deserves the same treatment and respect, and that also includes not treating all white people differently before you even know them.

Remember how the original post was about me being fed up with explaining racism to white people?

Your response is the reason why. Your response isn’t unique (as evidenced by me quoting basically your entire original argument). When faced with this issue of white supremacy, most white people do exactly what you did:

  • Get angry at me for pointing out how they benefit from white supremacy and institutionalized racism
  • Talk about everyone loving eachother and how we are all humans, bleed red, etc.
  • Completely ignore all facts presented to them
  • Derail the argument by any means

And when I rebutted your entire argument, you know what you did? Instead of examining the plethora of facts and statistics I provided, you decided to remain angry and spout more generic responses, whilst simultaneously ignoring my entire argument. That’s my problem with most white people. When y’all are faced with the idea that you’re benefiting from a system that shits on us, you get defensive. Even when shown facts, statistics, and anecdotal evidence, you ignore the notion of white supremacy even further. This shows that you don’t want to help black people. You don’t want the system to change, and you’d rather remain ignorant than educate yourself. I have no respect for people like you.

I’ve grown up around a lot of black neighborhoods in Chicago, and they can be just as racist, and being picked on and bullied for being white isn’t a great fucking feeling.”

You know what else isn’t a great fucking feeling? Being shot and killed in broad daylight for the color of your skin, or being denied a job for the color of your skin, or how about being profiled and incarcerated at a ludicrously higher rate than the rest of society, simply because you were born with more melanin.

At the end of the day, you’re worse than a racist. You allow racism to take place all around you and ignore it because you have the privilege of doing so. Because you benefit from it. Because you don’t care about people of color. I’d respect a racist more because at least they have the gall and fortitude to stand behind their ass-backwards notions of supremacy. But you? You’re a heartless, spineless fucking coward.

if the guy who got shot was white none of you would give a fuck tho

people who look like you and me don’t get targeted by the police, people who look like you and me don’t get shot in the street by the people who are paid to protect us, people who look like me and you shoot up schools and get called “misunderstood” by the mainstream media. that’s the point

white privilege
